How does it Work? - An implementation of FMI’s online backup has two main components. The "Data Storage System" and the "Data Storage Client" The DS-System holds your compressed and encrypted data in a secure data centre and the DS-Client is responsible for collecting it, preparing it and sending it to the data centre.

Real Applications: At the data centre we maintain a compressed and encrypted repository. This equates to backup, archiving and library type applications. Any data stored on-line in the vault can be securely retrieved with a few mouse clicks to a pre-defined location but cannot otherwise be accessed or viewed by any other means and is therefore totally secure.

Agentless Architecture – One Data Storage Client can backup multiple Servers or workstations. No other software is required on target computers. This keeps options open when increasing the size of the network. You do not need a license for each server. No intrusive software cluttering dedicated servers. No more upgrading of agents on remote systems.
